Swangz Avenue artiste Winnie Nwagi has vowed never to let her daughter see her father ever.
The singer’s daughter is soon becoming a teenager but she has never got time to be with her father as she was abandoned before she was even born.
Winnie Nwagi said she met the father of her daughter at a certain gym and they started an affair. By then she had just completed her Form Six examination.
Having lost her mother, there was no hope of her joining the university and when she got pregnant she decided to keep the pregnancy.
Winnie’s baby daddy had requested her to abort or else they separate ways and that is what really happened.
Talented Nwagi said ever since she got pregnant, the man cut off her contact but when she got money he wanted to come back and be in her life.
As a person who has struggled enough, she denied the baby daddy access to the child and she still stands by her decision.
Winnie Nwagi revealed that her daughter will look for her father in case she needs him in the future.
“I will never let my daughter see her father because he refused her when she wasn’t yet born. He has never asked to see her so why would I force anything? My daughter will see the father when she wants to buy not me,” Winnie Nwagi said
Music analyst and radio personality, Eddie Sendi, has expressed disapproval of Winnie Nwagi’s actions, asserting that denying the father access to their daughter is not right. Sendi emphasized the importance of allowing the father to see his child, despite the singer’s alleged reservations due to his marriage to another woman.
In addition, Sendi cautioned Nwagi to exercise restraint during her performances, warning that unruly behaviour could lead to repercussions from fans. He pointed out that such actions might provoke the audience, potentially resulting in physical confrontations if she continues to wield her microphone aggressively.
Furthermore, Sendi suggested that Nwagi’s lingering affection for the father of her daughter might be influencing her decisions. Despite his remarriage, Sendi claimed that Nwagi still harbours feelings for him, which could be a contributing factor to her reluctance to allow him to visit their child.
