Join us as we take you through the 3 and a half year Villa Vie voyage.
Villa Vie Residences, a long term cruise start up, is set to embark on a three- and-a-half-year global journey abroad the newly acquired MS Braemar, now known as Villa Vie Odyssey.
Departing in May 2024, this cruise promises a unique experience with its 924- passenger capacity across 485 cabins
The ship will take passengers through 425 ports, including stops in the Bahamas, Greenland and Madagascar. The first segment which will sail through Northern Europe for three months will start from Southampton, England.
The ship’s longest segment will last 131 days across Southern Europe and the Mediterranean, and it will port in countries including Spain, Greece, Italy and Tunisia.
The ship’s enhancements include an expanded pool with added Jacuzzi tubs, and the ability to navigate inland waterways. With eight decks, communal kitchen, space for lie music and filming, three restaurants, eight bars, four lounges, a spa, fitness center, library, and a medical center that will offer free visits, though procedures will cost extra., the Odyssey aims to provide an unparalled cruising adventure, departing from the heart of destinations worldwide.
This cruise was initially set to sail with a ship already owned by the company, the MV Gemini, but several employees echoed concerns from engineers about the vessels sustainability and safety, one of the ship’s staff said.
Ville Vie is funded through donors and investments, and the operation waited until it purchased a ship before accepting deposits from passengers. Guests are required to provide a 5 percent deposit that is set to increase to 10 percent by early next year. Payments are due 90 days before the sailing segments start.
Guests can purchase reservations by segments; there are 16 in total, spanning 35 to 131 days, depending on different destinations. As for accommodations, there are three types to rent with the cheapest at $89 per person, per night, including food, biweekly laundry service, weekly house-keeping and internet service. Medium at $119, and the highest at $199 per night.
In conclusion, the cruise will offer not just a journey across the seas but a symphony of experiences – from breath-taking sunsets at sea to the cultural richness of diverse destinations. It will not be merely a vacation, but an odyssey of discovery, relaxation, and connection, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those that will be part of the voyage.
