NBS television news anchor Hatma Nalugwa Ssekaya is currently grieving the loss of her daughter last year.
In a recent TV interview, she revealed that during that period, she didn’t take a break from her work but stayed strong and continued working as if nothing had happened.
“I can’t forget September of last year when I lost a daughter. The sickness started in June, and in September, she died. As parents, we tried everything we could afford, but we couldn’t save her life,” she said.
Hatma shared that her daughter was normal until one day when she started complaining about a headache and was later diagnosed with brain cancer.
As a mother of four children, the loss of her fifth child was one of the hardest times, but she doesn’t know how she managed to survive it.
