The newly elected Dokolo Woman Member of Parliament Sarah Aguti has been sworn in replacing the late Cecilia Ogwal who passed on 18th January 2024 in India where she had gone for Cancer Treatment.
Sarh Aguti is a Uganda People’s Congress (UPC) member who won the by-election that was carried out on March 21, 2024.
Aguti got total votes of 23044 against NRM’s Janet Adongo who garnerd 14001.
Speaking to the media at the party’s head offices in Kampala, the UPC spokesperson, Sharon Oyat, praised the people of Dokolo for trusting their candidate and assured them of better service.
Oyat urged party members and leaders across the country to prepare for the forthcoming general elections.
