The trial judge decided to postpone the case until April 11, 2024, to discuss it further, following recent developments.
Earlier this month, Musana, who is 21 years old, was not granted bail because he doesn’t have a permanent home.
Musana is accused of committing 8 offences related to spreading hate speech and malicious information, which goes against section 26 (a) of the Computer Misuse Act (2021).
The prosecution alleges that between August 2023 and February 2024, Musana used his TikTok account to share information that could degrade or insult four leaders, including Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, President Museveni, Speaker of Parliament Annet Anita Among, and State Minister for ICT Joyce Naboosa Ssebugwawo, in areas of Kampala district.
According to the charges, several people, including Jennifer Nankanguubi, also known as Full Figure, filed complaints against Musana.
