In 2021, Muhumuza Brian Bishanga, affectionately known as Bryan Morel, embarked on a mission to make a difference in the lives of others. With the establishment of Kyarimpa Cares, a nonprofit organization dedicated to corporate social responsibility and goodwill ambassadorship, Bryan set out to honor the legacy of his parents, particularly his mother Kyarimpa Jovia, while embodying his commitment to giving back to the community and fostering positive change.
Bryan’s journey towards philanthropy was shaped by personal tragedy, having lost his father at a young age. However, it was his mother’s teachings that instilled in him a profound sense of compassion and the importance of community service. As a student, Bryan’s acts of generosity ranged from serving Thanksgiving dinner to his neighbors, laying the groundwork for his future philanthropic endeavors. His involvement with esteemed organizations such as the Angella Katatumba Development Foundation, Judith Heard Foundation, and Desire Luzinda Foundation further ignited his passion for creating a meaningful impact.
At its core, Kyarimpa Cares is dedicated to serving a diverse audience, spanning from youth to the elderly, with a strong emphasis on fostering community and corporate partnerships.
Guided by a mission of corporate social responsibility, Kyarimpa Cares encourages public figures and civil society leaders to contribute a portion of their income to charitable causes. The foundation’s vision aligns with promoting positive social change and environmental sustainability, emphasizing key focus areas such as environmental conservation, children’s welfare, women empowerment, community engagement, and mental health advocacy.
Since its inception, Kyarimpa Cares has made significant strides in community development. From supporting students during the COVID-19 pandemic to spearheading environmental conservation efforts such as tree planting projects in collaboration with esteemed organizations, the foundation’s impact resonates across various sectors.
Looking towards the future, Kyarimpa Cares envisions a world where everyone plays a role in creating a sustainable and equitable future. Bryan aims to expand partnerships and programs, inspiring others to contribute to positive change. With Bryan’s Bachelor’s Degree in Project Planning & Management from Makerere University, the foundation is poised to continue its mission of social responsibility and goodwill ambassadorship.
