Renowned contemporary musicians Kenneth Mugabi, Myko Ouma, and Ssewa Ssewa are poised to headline the debut edition of the “Pride of the Pearl” concert at Sheraton Kampala Hotel this July.
The “Pride of the Pearl” concert promises to be a unique musical spectacle celebrating Uganda’s vibrant cultural heritage. Set to take place on July 7th, 2024, at the Sheraton Ballroom, the event is curated by Soul Events Africa.
During a press conference held on Tuesday, the organizers highlighted the concert’s theme of “Futuristic African Fusion,” emphasizing its mission to showcase Uganda’s musical diversity through captivating performances and soul-stirring melodies.
Myko Ouma, the acclaimed guitarist and composer, pledges to deliver an exquisite showcase, promising an unforgettable experience for attendees.
Joining Ouma is Kenneth Mugabi, known for his soulful vocals and acoustic melodies, featuring hits like “Nkwegomba,” “Kibun’omu,” “Naki,” and “Under Wraps.”
Completing the trio is Ssewa Ssewa, celebrated for his mastery of the Janzi instrument and his innovative fusion of traditional Ugandan sounds with contemporary elements, promising an electrifying musical journey.
