President Yoweri Museveni has officially announced the appointment of new Resident District/City Commissioners, Deputies, and Commissioners at the RDC Secretariat.
“In exercise of the powers conferred upon the President of the Republic of Uganda by Articles 99 and 203 of the 1995 Constitution (as amended); I hereby appoint the following persons as Resident District/City Commissioners, Deputies, and Commissioners at the RDC Secretariat,” the president stated in a message shared on X on Monday afternoon.
The list reveals that 146 RDCs have been appointed, with 163 deputies. Additionally, there are 10 Regional Commissioners, including Maj. Martha Asimwe as the head of the RDC secretariat, Sr. Grace Akiror as deputy head, Kyabangi Nakato for Central Buganda, Fredrick Mbagadi Nkayi for Kampala Metropolitan, Fred Bamwine for Karamoja, Collins Gertrude Obedi for West Nile, Col. Oguli Damuzungu for Eastern, Lt. Col. James Mwesigye for Western, Dr. James Tweheyo for Rwenzori, and Alice Akello Opio for Northern Uganda.
