In Kampala, authorities have launched investigations into the deaths of two individuals in Kawuuwa and Gganda Central within Gganda village, Nansana municipality, Wakiso district.
Early Thursday, locals discovered the body of an unidentified man in a trench. Eyewitnesses described him as naked, with a machete lying nearby.
“I stumbled upon the body while heading to work in the morning,” said Stuart Nsingwire, a boda boda rider.
The victim remains unfamiliar to residents, leading to speculation about the motive behind the killing. Some suspect a romantic entanglement gone awry, while others suggest possible involvement in criminal activities.
Christopher Muyimbwa, the area’s defense secretary, cautioned against vigilantism, emphasizing the importance of due process.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident, a woman’s dismembered remains were found concealed behind a perimeter wall in the same vicinity.
Metropolitan police spokesperson Patrick Onyango confirmed the ongoing investigations into both cases, urging locals to remain vigilant and cooperate with authorities.
