Supporters of Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) and First Son Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba organized a protest march today to raise awareness about corruption in the nation.
Under the banner of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), the participants, predominantly dressed in yellow, paraded through various streets to present their petition to Speaker of Parliament Anitah Annet Among.
They expressed their discontent with certain Members of Parliament (MPs), accusing them of persistently targeting their leader, Gen. Muhoozi, during parliamentary discussions.
Amidst a strong security presence, PLU supporters articulated their grievances, asserting that some MPs have misused parliamentary sessions to attack Gen. Muhoozi over what they consider unfounded claims.
Leading the demonstration, PLU General Secretary Daudi Kabanda urged MPs to focus on pressing national matters instead of dragging their leader into unnecessary debates.
Kabanda declared that this “nonsense must stop with President Museveni’s leadership,” questioning when these politicians will prioritize serving the people rather than engaging in endless politicking.
