The Minister of State for Microfinance Hon Haruna Kyeyune Kasolo yesterday told the people of Masaka that there is no difference between Patriotic League of Uganda whose commander is General Muhoozi Kainerugaba and National Resistance Movement owned by President Museveni.
Hon Kasolo who is also the coordinator of PLU in Greater Masaka was speaking at the preparation ceremony in Masaka City ahead of General Muhoozi’s visit to Masaka City on March 15th on what is termed as the Greater Masaka Bazaar.
According to Hon Kasolo, the way the people of Masaka have supported President Museveni and NRM is the same support that they should render to General Muhoozi and PLU. “The opposition have their eyes and ears open on which candidate is coming for the 2026 elections but they should know that PLU and NRM are one team and they are sending both their candidate and in the end, the win is for both PLU and NRM.
He went on to urge the people on Masaka that on March 15th during Gen Muhoozi’s visit, they should come in big numbers since they are the hosts of other regions that make up Greater Masaka such as Lukaaya, Bukomansimbi, Lwengo and Rakai among others.
Hon Kasolo during the Masaka gathering was accompanied by Mr Toyota Kaguta, Hon Daudi Kabanda, Hon Micheal Mawanda, Hon Sodo Kaguta, and Hon Michael katungi who are members of PLU.
During the gathering, RDC of Masaka district, Mrs Teopista Senkuungu, expressed gratitude for the enduring friendship with individuals of value Hon. Kasolo has had, particularly acknowledging the significance of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba. She also praised Hon Kasolo for his transformative efforts in uplifting the lives of women, elderly, and youth within Bukoto Central constituency.
Hon. Daudi Kabanda, in a stirring address, emphasized the importance of informed voting and urged constituents to elect leaders committed to tangible development. He announced the pivotal date of 15th March, when the people would demonstrate their allegiance by welcoming General Muhoozi Kainerugaba to Masaka City.
