In an official announcement, organizers Talent Africa and Next Media revealed that the highly anticipated UB40 featuring Ali Campbell concert, initially set for December 21, 2023, at Kololo Airstrip, is back on track after facing unavoidable circumstances last year.
After a closed-door meeting between the main organizers, the concert’s new date has been confirmed for March 2, 2024, at Kololo Airstrip. All previously purchased tickets for the original event remain valid, and there will be no additional ticket sales for those who already hold tickets.
The decision to postpone the concert last year was attributed to an unforeseeable event that required the use of Kololo Airstrip the day before the scheduled UB40 performance. Specifically, the 1st Deputy Prime Minister of Uganda, Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga’s book launch, took precedence, leading to the regrettable rescheduling of the UB40 concert.
In a released statement, organizers expressed sincere regret and disappointment, citing the uncontrollable circumstances surrounding the unexpected postponement. Fans can now look forward to the rescheduled event in March, with the assurance that their previously purchased tickets will remain valid for the new date.
