Most left footed goals in the 21st century

In the world of football different players use different skills to achieve their goals. Most players score goals using heads others use feet. We shall therefore take a look at the most left footed goals in the 21st century.

5. Lucas Josef Podolski. The 38 year old Germany and Poland international makes it to the 5th position with 122 left footed goals.  He was known for his skills and his goals he scored using his left foot. Podolski won the world cup with Germany in 2014, he also helped  Germany to finish as the second run ups in the UEFA European countries in 2008, in the same year 2008 he won the Germany Bundesliga title with Bayern Munich. He later made a move to arsenal where he won the fa cup in 2014. 2016 he won the Turkish cup with Galatasaray. He also holds the record of the 3rd most capped player in Germany.

4. Christiano Ronaldo. Christiano Ronaldo santo also known as cr7 born from Portugal is a right footed player though due to his unique abilities he also makes it to the list of the goals from the left foot. He scored 126 goals with his left foot. The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus player holds the record of all time topscorer in the world with over 800 goals. He has the record of the 2nd player with most barron d’ors (5). He won three UEFA champions league in a row with the mighty team of real Madrid (2016,2017,2018). In 2016 he won Euros with Portugal and in 2017 he won the UEFA nations league.

3. Antoine Griezmann. The 32 year old French international who is currently playing for Atletico Madrid in Spanish Laliga. The former Barcelona player also is very famous for his left feet and his versatility as far as scoring goals is concerned . Griezmann has soffer scored 184 goals using his left foot. Griezmann won the fifa world cup in 2018 after trashing Croatia in the final. Griezmann also in world cup 2022 helped his national team France to make it to the final but unfortunately they had to lose the final to Argentina. In 2016 he helped his national team to reach the final of the European football and lost the final to Portugal. However in 2021 he won the UEFA nations league.

2. Mohammed Salah. Mohammed Salah born from Egypt who plays for liverpool football club in English premier league has also scored 184 goals from his left foot making him the second with most left footed goals in the 21st century. In 2014 he joined Chelsea but he wasn’t lucky there he ended up being loaned on several occasions where he ended up joining ac Roma from there he joined liverpool upto date. In his first season at liverpool he set a record of the most goals in a season with 32 goals in 38games. He has won all possible trophies at liverpool including UEFA champions league, premier league, fa,carabao cup,super cup and the fifa club world cup.

1. Lionel Messi. It is of no doubt that Lionel Messi makes it at the top of the list with 474 left footed goals. He holds many records in the world of football and he is also regarded as the ” Greatest Of All Time” in football history. He holds the record of the most barron d’ors won in the word of football (8). He won the 2022 fifa club world cup with Argentina. He won most trophies at fc Barcelona as he almost spent his entire life at the club.  He later joined PSG where he won some domestic trophies there. He now captains the Argentina national team and Inter Miami.
