Sunday Stephen, a professional fitness trainer, model,Sprinter and hyrox athlete is set to represent Uganda for the fourth time at the prestigious Mister Africa International Festival 2024. The event presented by Bh Mmsl and house of twitch and powered by telecom giant Africell and the ministry of tourism, Sierra Leone, it will take place in Freetown, Sierra Leone, from December 12th to 24th, 2024. The Grand Finals, a highly anticipated red-carpet event, will be held on Sunday, December 22nd, 2024, at Mamba Point, Lagonda, starting at 7 PM.
This year’s competition brings together 30 countries, with only 10 finalists battling it out for the coveted title. Sunday Stephen, who has consistently been among the top five contestants in previous editions, is determined to win the title this year. In 2023, he won the “Body of Africa” award, further cementing his reputation as a top-tier fitness model.
Stephen’s participation in Mister Africa International is a testament to his resilience, passion, and pride in representing Uganda. As a fitness trainer and model , he has empowered countless individuals to embrace healthier lifestyles, promoting physical and mental well-being. His journey in fitness modeling reflects his unwavering dedication, discipline, and hard work, making him a standout figure in his field.
When asked about his target this year, Stephen confidently stated, “My goal is to win. This has been a long journey, and I’ve put in so much effort this time around. Representing Uganda and Africa has always been my dream, and I’m ready to achieve it.”
Stephen’s preparation for the competition has been rigorous, requiring both physical and mental strength. “Training has been difficult because it’s not just about looking in shape but also about being smart, confident, and ready to answer challenging questions,” he said. Despite the challenges, Stephen has persevered, working tirelessly without a coach, manager, or sponsors. “I’m doing this with all my power because I love my country, Uganda, and I want to represent Africa on the global stage,” he added.
The winner of Mister Africa International receives cash prizes and contracts with modeling agencies like House of Twitch, which is based in London and Nigeria and traveling country to country, Beyond these tangible rewards, Stephen views this platform as an opportunity to promote Africa’s culture and beauty while inspiring young Africans to dream big and collaborate across borders.
