The Holi festive spirit carried on to new heights as Kansai Plascon Uganda proudly sponsored the Musical Holi Festival 2025, a dazzling two-day celebration of color, music, and cultural unity. Following the vibrant Festival of Colors earlier in March at KCCA grounds in Lugogo, this extra Holi event kicked off on March 23rd with an exclusive meet-and-greet at Fairway Hotel, where guests were welcomed with cheerful spirits, setting the tone for an unforgettable experience. The festivities continued on March 24th at the Kampala Parents School Grounds, where revelers immersed themselves in a night of electrifying performances, dance and dining.
The highlight of the evening was the spectacular lineup of artists, headlined by Bollywood playback singers Amit Gupta and Nandini Deb, whose powerful vocals and energetic stage presence had the crowd singing along to beloved Hindi hits. Nandini Deb, renowned for her performance at the FIFA World Cup, delivered a show-stopping act, blending contemporary and classic Bollywood tunes that kept the audience delighted.
Adding to the excitement, a group of cheerful young Indian dancers took the stage with a vibrant performance, showcasing traditional and modern choreography in a burst of color and rhythm. Other dance groups also joined in, blending Ugandan and Indian cultural expressions in a dynamic display of unity. The atmosphere was electric, with attendees dancing and celebrating the spirit of Holi under the night sky.
The event was attended by prominent members of Uganda’s Indian community, including business leaders like Sudhir Ruparelia, the chairman and majority shareholder in the Ruparelia Group of companies , cultural ambassadors, and diplomats, who came together to celebrate this cherished tradition. A massive lucky draw with prizes worth up to 50 million UGX added an extra layer of excitement, making the night even more memorable for lucky winners.
Mr. Santosh Gumte, Managing Director of Plascon Uganda, shared his enthusiasm for the festival:
“Music and color have the power to bring people together, and the Musical Holi Festival 2025 was a perfect embodiment of that unity and a continuation of the many celebrations we’ve already had this month for Holi. At Kansai Plascon, we are proud to support events that celebrate diversity, joy, and cultural connection. This festival was not just about vibrant hues but also about the shared moments of happiness that define Holi. We remain committed to supporting such enriching experiences in the communities we serve.”
The success of the festival was made possible through the collaboration of the East India Cultural Association (EICA), the Indian Association Uganda, and the High Commission of India, Kampala, alongside key sponsors and partners.
Kansai Plascon Uganda continues to champion cultural engagement, ensuring that traditions like Holi are celebrated with passion, creativity, and inclusivity.
