A 45-year-old man is battling for his life in Kamuli after his wife chopped off his genitals for allegedly marrying a second woman.
Moses Kawubanya, the director of Serena Children’s Home and a resident of Busana Zone, Nabirumba ward, Nabwigulu sub-county in Kamuli district had his genitals chopped off as he slept.
It is said that as Kawubanya slept in their marital home, Susan Namuganza who had for long complained about the husband marrying a second wife woke up under the guise of breastfeeding their three-month-old baby, only to get a knife and cut off the genitals.
Busoga North regional police spokesperson, Michael Kasaha confirmed that the hunt for Nabirumba has kicked off to answer charges of attempted murder.
The victim has since been referred to Kamuli General Hospital for medical attention as police kick off investigations into the incident.
