Events promoter Alfonse Mukasa, commonly known as Bajjo Events, has vowed never to speak about Jose Chameleone again, branding him a conman.
Speaking to Sanyuka TV, Bajjo accused Chameleone of faking his recent illness and continuing his habit of pulling publicity stunts.
He pointed out that Chameleone, who claimed to be gravely ill and was even flown to the USA for treatment, is now being seen out kissing women.
“How are we supposed to sympathize with him?” Bajjo asked, expressing disappointment in Chameleone’s actions, which he says have embarrassed those who defended him during the public scrutiny following his son Abba Marcus’s revelations.
Bajjo further questioned how Chameleone could go from lying in a hospital bed with a drip to being spotted in a bar drinking alcohol.
Commenting on the video where Chameleone appears to almost kiss Juliet Zawedde, a Ugandan-American businesswoman who played a key role in supporting his medical needs, Bajjo asked, “Does a sick man kiss?”
According to Bajjo, Chameleone’s illness was nothing more than a ploy to gain sympathy and possibly financial support from the government.
He apologized to Ugandans for defending Chameleone, admitting he now feels duped.
Bajjo also extended an apology to Abba Marcus.
He acknowledged insulting Abba when the young man publicly spoke about his father’s drinking problem and alleged illness.
“I thought I was defending your father because I believed you had made a mistake when you went to social media to talk about his health issues and alcohol problem,” Bajjo said.
He concluded by throwing his support behind Abba, declaring, “I am team Abba.”
