Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone is set to travel to Allina Health Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, for specialized treatment as he continues to battle health challenges that have kept him bedridden in recent days.
Chameleone will be accompanied by his younger brother, Weasel Manizo, on the trip.
The expenses for the journey and related care will be covered by renowned socialite Juliet Zawedde, who is ensuring the singer receives the best possible treatment.
Earlier this week, Chameleone’s eldest son, Abba Marcus, revealed that the singer is suffering from acute pancreatitis, which is reportedly linked to alcohol addiction.
Marcus also shared that doctors have warned Chameleone about the severe consequences of continuing to drink, advising him to make lifestyle changes within two years.
Chameleone was recently admitted to Nakasero Hospital for treatment, but doctors have recommended that he seek advanced care abroad.
As a result, the singer has postponed his Christmas and New Year performance bookings to focus on his health.
