This Pastor Robert Kayanja sodomy case has been in court for a long time, where several young men accused him for involving in homosexual acts with them. This led to him opening cases of defamation against them and they were all arrested and detained.
Now, Dr. Kalungi Sam, a medical practitioner and head of the Pathology Department at Mulago Hospital, came out to testify and give his findings about carrying out examinations on the men who were accusing Pastor Robert Kayanja of sodomy actions.
You should know that the accused in this matter are; Henry Lyaz, Jamil Mawanda, Wasswa Israel, Moses Semanobe, Martins Kagolo, Khalifa Labeeb, Reagan Ssentongo, Peter Serugo, Alex Wakamala, and Aggrey Kanene.
In this case, Dr. Kalungi Sam has been the sixth prosecution witness to testify in a case where ten people are accused of falsely accusing Pastor Robert Kayanja of sodomizing them.
And on appearing before Mwanga II Grade One Magistrate Adams Byaruhanga, the Doctor informed the court that he conducted medical examinations on all the accused persons at the request of various investigative officers from Police.
“At first, I examined Peter Serugo upon the request by Detective Inspector of Police Nandutu Cotilda. Serugo says that he was arrested in 2021 as he went to Miracle Center Cathedral Rubaga to allegedly pick his money that had been promised to him after being sodomized by Pastor Kayanja.” He said.
Furthermore, Dr. Kalungi Sam revealed that received Serugo in a fair condition, he was normal with both his ears pierced. And added that his buttocks and anus were in good shape and had no stains of feaces.
“The examination was important because when a person has been sodomized, the muscle can’t hold human waste, it just passes out.” He added. This examination was conducted in September 2021 and he signed against all forms that contained his findings. Furthermore, all signed forms have been handed in tocourt as Prosecution exhibits.
Additionally, the Prosecution has also presented a seventh witness identified as Kisakye Collins a former guard at Pastor Kayanja’s place who narrated how he trained and ended up as a security guard.
The prosecution holds it that, on September 17, 2021, the accused persons and others still at large in Kampala district conspired together to falsely accuse Pastor Robert Kayanja of unnatural offenses.
More so, it is further alleged that the same individuals in the same period with others still at large conspired together to commit a felony, and conspiracy to defeat justice.
