Renowned Ugandan dancehall singer, Crescent Baguma alias Bennie Gunter has jetted into the country after a long legal battle in the United Arab Emirates ( UAE).
Beenie Gunter was arrested a few months ago at a Dubai airport while boarding a plane to travel back to Uganda accompanied by his baby mama, Nickie Berry.
The Tubayo singer was then transferred to Abu Dhabi and detained over allegations of violent conduct and vandalizing property. This is after finding himself amid a scuffle between two Ugandan promoters in the UAE when he travelled to perform in Abu Dhabi.
After spending days behind Abu Dhabi coolers, Gunnter was released on bail, however, he wasn’t able to travel back to Uganda due to a travel ban that was issued to him following his arrest.
Earlier today Friday 1st March 2024, Gunter returned back in the country after securing his freedom from UAE where he was incarcerated and he was welcomed by his wife, a few close friends and fans at Entebbe Airport.
It is reported that Gunter is among the artists who are expected to perform at Lydia Jazmine’s ‘ First Born ‘ Concert which is happening today at Hotel Africana.
