Two brothers in the Bukedea district in Eastern Uganda hacked into their mother’s phone and beat her for cheating on their father.
The two identified as Onenge Andrew and Opio Ivan are reported to have used a panga on their mother, Asikeit Melidah to hack into her phone. These two were very mad with their mother whom they caught red-handed cheating on their father with their best male friend, Omerikol Joseph.
Police in East Kyoga region and Bukedea Central Police Station are now looking for the two brothers on murder attempts says Police Spokesman Fred Enanga.
Enanga in a statement issued on March, 25th, 2024 said that the two came back home on Wednesday last week only to find their mother in bed with their best male friend.
“The facts gathered indicate that the two siblings, on March 20, 2024, returned home at around 10 p.m. and found their mother and her manfriend, already sleeping in their father’s house, which angered them,” he said.
The two victims, Asikeit and Omerikol, were swiftly taken to Bukedea Health Centre IV for medical treatment, while the two siblings remain at large.
Enanga has denounced the attack, labelling it a “grave abomination,” emphasizing that mothers deserve respect from their children irrespective of circumstances.
“We vehemently condemn such violent assaults on biological parents by their children. It is a grave abomination. Mothers deserve unwavering respect from their children, regardless of any situation,” he stated.
Enanga further emphasized that the siblings should have alerted the appropriate authorities instead of taking matters into their own hands. Once apprehended, the duo will face charges of attempted murder.
