Police in Kabale Dirstrict have today arrested three men who are suspected to be involved in the recent robberies in Kabale municipality.
The three men identified as Mugarura Joshua, 20, Niwamanya Junior, 18, and Taremwa Ronald, 20, were nabbed during the operation that was carried out based on an intelligence tip-off from their respective places of residence.
Accordding to ASP Maate Elly, the Kigezi regional police spokesman, said that three men were arrested today at 7AM.
Maate says that the police found several pictures of phones and laptops on Joshua’s smartphone, which he had captured after robbing and sent to someone in Mbarara to sell. This discovery suggests that the suspects may have been involved in a larger organized crime ring.
The three suspects will be brought before courts of law to answer chargers that are put on them.
