Isaac Kimaze Ssemakadde the Uganda Law Society President is set to appear today Monday at Buganda Road Magistrates Court on charges of insulting the modesty of a woman.
On 10th February 2025, the chief Magistrate Ronlald Kayizzi didnt issue an arrest warrant for the ULS President. This follow the decision made my his lawyer who explained that he missed a January 29, 2025 court appearance over a bad cough.
The Magistrate had to push the criminal summons, and required Ssemakadde to appear to court today Monday 24, February 2025 and failure to do will aresult to issue an arrest warrant.
The case originates from derogatory comments Ssemakadde allegedly made about Director of Public Prosecutions Justice Jane Frances Abodo during a symposium on November 18, 2024. These comments led to a private prosecution against him in December 2024
