Ugandan comedy lovers are in for a night of unfiltered humor as Anne Kansiime headlines The Comedy Grill, the country’s first-ever roast experience. Set for May 9, 2024, at the prestigious Kampala Sheraton Hotel, the highly anticipated event promises satire, sharp wit, and top-tier entertainment.
Tickets are now available, with general admission priced at 100,000 UGX. For a premium experience, a Gold Table for eight goes for 3 million UGX, while a Platinum Table is priced at 5 million UGX.
At this one-of-a-kind event, Kansiime will be the star of the roast, as fellow comedians and special guests take turns delivering unfiltered jabs. But the self-proclaimed “Ninja” is ready to fire back, assuring fans of a show unlike any other.
“I am beyond excited for The Comedy Grill! It’s not every day you get roasted by friends and fellow comedians. And of course, I get to fire back as well!” Kansiime shared enthusiastically.
For those expecting a tame evening, the comedian has a word of caution: “If you’re under 18, I’ll miss you! This roast is strictly for mature audiences. Anyone who understands what a comedy roast is knows it’s not for the faint-hearted. I am the meat on the grill, and I’m coming prepared for a proper roasting!”
Event organizer Aly Allibhai, CEO of Talent Africa Group (TAG), emphasized the significance of the show in Uganda’s comedy scene.
“The Comedy Grill is set to redefine comedy in Uganda. We are thrilled to introduce this first-of-its-kind experience to audiences. With an incredible lineup and Anne at the helm, it will be an unforgettable night. Talent Africa has always been at the forefront of delivering top-tier events, and this will be no exception.”
