The Minister of Works and Transport, General Edward Katumba Wamala, recently inspected the ongoing repair works at Mabira along the Kampala–Jinja highway.
This critical section of the road, known for its heavy traffic, is undergoing major upgrades aimed at improving its condition and enhancing the smooth flow of vehicles.
During his visit, the Minister also directed the team to expedite preparations for repairs on the Gayaza–Kalagi road, another vital route in need of urgent attention.
These interventions are part of the Ministry’s broader effort to address key traffic bottlenecks that have long hindered mobility, ensuring safer and more efficient road networks for Ugandans.
General Katumba reiterated the government’s commitment to modernizing the country’s transport infrastructure to boost economic growth and connectivity.
