Prominent events promoter, Biggie Events, has announced that she will be stepping away from organizing music concerts to focus on personal growth and her religious commitments.
Biggie made the announcement today during the official press launch of The National Quran Competition held at Kampala Serena Hotel. The competition is scheduled to take place on February 23, 2025, and will become an annual event.
“Organizing music concerts has been extremely stressful for me, and it’s time I shift my focus to reviving the norms of Islam,” she stated.
She further explained that after her pilgrimage to Makkah, she made a vow to Allah: “I asked Allah to allow me one day to gather all Muslims as one community. Together with the IRAJI Foundation, we have now launched this competition.”
It’s worth noting that Biggie Events has organized concerts for major artists like Dr. Jose Chameleone, who is currently hospitalized due to health complications.
The National Quran Competition will cater to youth aged 16 to 20 years who wish to learn and embrace Islamic culture and values. The winner will receive a brand-new car and a pilgrimage to Makkah, the holy city of Islam.
