15-Year-Old Praise Wisdom, a student at Gombe ss is Representing Uganda at the Our Generation International Song Competition in Russia Praise Barbra Kibuuka, also known as Praise Wisdom, a 15-year-old Senior 3 student from St. Andrew Kaggwa Gombe High School, has been chosen to represent Uganda at the “Our Generation” International Children’s Song Competition in Russia.
Praise, who began singing at the age of 4, has a growing presence in Uganda’s music scene, performing with popular live bands like The Gang Band, Amani Band, and The Maestro Band. Having honed her talent over the years, Praise is no stranger to the stage.
Her journey began with gospel music, and she has recorded a series of inspirational tracks which have resonated with audiences and helped build her reputation as a promising young artist. In addition to her recorded music, she regularly showcases her vocal talents in live performances, where her ability to captivate audiences with her voice has drawn attention from various music groups.
Now, at the “Our Generation” competition, Praise will compete with young musicians from 13 countries, showcasing her unique talent on an international stage.
The event, which celebrates themes of love, kindness, and optimism, offers her an opportunity to not only highlight her musical abilities but also to represent Uganda’s rich culture.
Beyond the competition, the participants will have the chance to explore Moscow, engaging in cultural exchanges and building connections with their peers from across the globe. Praise’s journey to this global platform is a testament to her dedication and the strong support from her school and community.
With her talent, perseverance, and the foundation she has built in Uganda’s music scene, Praise is set to make Uganda proud at the “Our Generation” competition, while continuing to inspire others through her music.
