Frank Gashumba has called 97% of prophets and pastors fraudulent especially those who claim to have direct communication with God.
Gashumba expressed disbelief at how even educated people can be misled by these so-called prophets and pastors.
He mentioned that no one physically converses with God, challenging the legitimacy of those who claim otherwise.
One of Frank Gashumba’s most pointed criticisms is directed at pastors who, according to him, exploit the poor by “stealing” money under the guise of collecting tithes.
He argues that the money given to these pastors would be better spent on supporting one’s parents, which he believes would bring genuine blessings.
Gashumba didn’t stop at general accusations; he went on to allege that a certain self-proclaimed prophet has accumulated a Shs21 billion in a fixed bank account, all supposedly generated from the contributions of congregants.
Gashumba called upon the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) to start taxing churches.
He argued that instead of the standard 18% VAT rate, churches should be taxed at a higher rate of 47%.
