In a captivating display of grace, talent, and elegance, Ndamurani Victoria Abwooli Nyakalebeki was crowned Miss Tourism Bunyoro Region 2024/25 on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at the renowned Kabalega Resort in Masindi. This landmark event was witnessed by a prestigious audience and marked a significant milestone for the 22-year-old Makerere University student, who became the first titleholder from Kiryandongo District. Mbabazi Immaculate claimed the 1st runner-up position, while Ayesiga Daphine was honored as the 2nd runner-up.
The evening’s celebrations, which ran from 8:00 pm to 11:45 pm, highlighted Bunyoro’s vibrant cultural heritage. The event featured captivating performances by local artists and a glittering ceremony that mesmerized the attendees. Victoria’s victory was greeted with thunderous applause, celebrating her intellect, beauty, and unwavering dedication to boosting tourism in Bunyoro.
As the newly crowned titleholders, Victoria, Immaculate, and Daphine will serve as tourism ambassadors, advocating for environmental preservation and regional development. Their win is a testament to their commitment and perseverance, equipping them to make a meaningful impact on their community and beyond.
The event attracted an array of esteemed guests, including guest of honor Eng. Asiimwe Jonard, officials from the Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom, representatives from Miss Tourism Uganda-PA, and delegates from Link Bus Services Ltd., who graciously pledged a year of complimentary transportation for the top three winners.
Victoria’s groundbreaking achievement ushers in a new era for the Miss Tourism Bunyoro Region pageant, aimed at fostering tourism and development within the region. As the first Miss Tourism Bunyoro from Kiryandongo District, Victoria is poised to leave a lasting legacy in her community, inspiring others to pursue similar paths.
