The 2nd edition of the Ekyooto Ha Mpango Festival will be held from 13th to the 14th of September 2024.
The will feature artists from the Tooro Kingdom and special guest artists from across Uganda and beyond. Some of the confirmed acts include the legendary female group BLU 3 alongside leading acts from the Tooro Kingdom such as Titan, Irene Hinda, Rosette, Ayesiga, Draei Bitsc, Holy Trimmy, Sagio Mhza, Home of Talent, and more.
The party will however not have just artists from Kampala but the region will be represented by fast-rising stars like Tai Tan Ug among others who will have a platform to collaborate with celebrated artists from Kampala.
“This will give fresh talent from this region a free opportunity to get their music recorded, mastered and produced by industry professionals,” revealed Aly Allibhai, the CEO of Talent Africa.
In partnership with UNDP, Ministry Of Tourism, Wildlife &Antiquities and TAG studios, Tooro Kingdom also looks to support its artists in this upcoming festival by setting up a three-day mobile studio.
The Ekyooto Ha Mpango Festival’s aim is to not only entertain but also educate, inspire, and showcase the Tooro region as the leading tourism destination in Africa.
