The Minister of State for Internal Affairs, Gen. David Rubakuba Muboozi, is grieving the loss of his mother, Edinance Kyomugyemo Rubakuba.
According to an official statement, Edinance Kyomugyemo Rubakuba passed away on Monday, April 1st, 2024, although the cause of her death remains undisclosed.
Tentative burial arrangements indicate that she will be laid to rest on Thursday in Kakiika, Mbarara. A church service will precede the burial today, April 3rd, at All Saints Cathedral at 9 A.M., allowing friends and family to pay their final respects.
Following the news of her passing, many Ugandans have expressed their condolences to Gen. Muboozi and his family on social media.
Michael Katungi, the External Coordinator for the Patriotic League of Uganda, shared his condolences, saying, “The Lord gives and the Lord has taken away, blessed be the name of the lord. Job 1.21 Farewell Aunt Mukulu. You lived a full life.”
Abiaz Rwamwiri, the public relations manager at Uganda National Drugs Authority, also offered his sympathies, stating, “Pole sana. My condolences to you and your family.”
Speaker of Parliament, Anita Annet Among, extended her heartfelt condolences to Gen. David Muhoozi and the Rubakuba family, acknowledging the passing of the family matriarch. She prayed for strength for the family during this difficult time and wished for the soul of Edinance Kyomugyemo Rubakuba to rest in peace.
