FDC Katonga faction is set to start their consultative meetings this weekend this was after they held their National Council Meeting.
In their just concluded meeting held at Katonga Road Offices in Kampala, leaders spearheaded by their interim president and also Kampala Lord Mayor Mr Erias Lukwago said that they will carry out countrywide meetings to make sure they get the views of the members on whether they can form the new political party and leave the Najjanankumbi offices and their leadership.
The faction’s secretary general, Mr Harold Kaijja, announced that consultations will resume this Saturday, March 30th, in the Busoga sub-region, with Salam Musumba leading the efforts.
Their schedule outlines meetings with leaders in Greater Mbarara on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, followed by a planned engagement with the leadership of Southern Kigezi on the 4th, led by Dr. Nicholas Kamara.
Additionally, the group will convene in North Kigezi, Rukungiri, on April 5th, under the leadership of Mr. Lawrence Kaginda. On Saturday, they will visit districts in Greater Bushenyi before heading to Bunyoro, Tooro, West Nile, and other regions.
The consultations are slated to conclude in Buganda/Central region.
