President Museveni has made some changes in his government. He removed Mary Goretti Kitutu from her position as Minister for Karamoja Affairs. Kitutu is facing charges for taking iron sheets meant for Karachuna warriors in Karamoja.
Peter Lokeris will take over Kitutu’s position.
In another change, businessman Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi has been appointed as the state minister for children and youth affairs.
