Miria Matembe Former Minister for Ethics and Integrity is upset with Ugandans who let themselves be bought. She’s losing faith in defending them.
“It’s not nice to see respectable Ugandans bending low to beg politicians for support,” Matembe said.
Expressing her frustration with the current situation, Matembe shared her declining confidence in the Ugandan people, noting their perceived lack of reliability and self-imposed sense of helplessness.
“Why have Ugandans chosen to lower themselves to begging and made themselves appear powerless? I find it increasingly difficult to defend you when you act in this manner,” Matembe lamented.
Comparing the present generation to past ones, Matembe emphasized the strength and dignity exhibited by Uganda’s ancestors despite facing similar economic challenges.
Matembe also added that families should remember to be good and honest and take care of themselves.
Matembe’s words remind us that Ugandans should keep their pride and self-esteem, even when things are hard.
