Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has finally appointed a new director in charge of Physical Planning.
Byendaimira Vicent Biribonwa will now take over the fort which has been vacant since 2020 when the then-director, Moses Atwine Kananiira resigned. Anita Kusiima has been acting in that position until the substantive director, Biribonwa was appointed this week.
“We are pleased to announce a valuable addition to our Physical Planning Team. Mr Byendaimira Vicent Biribonwa is our Substantive Director of Physical Planning,” a statement reads from KCCA’s official Twitter account.
Before his appointment, Biribonwa was been the Ministry of Lands, Housing & Urban Development where he has been serving as Commissioner of Physical Planning as well as Ag. Director for Physical Planning and Urban Development.
The recruitment process for the new director has been ongoing since October 2023.
