In the wee hours of the morning, at around 2:00 am, Ali Campbell and his 20-member band touched down at Entebbe International Airport, setting the stage for their highly anticipated concert scheduled for Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, at Kololo Independence Grounds.
Preparations for the Ali Campbell concert reached their apex on Thursday, with final arrangements being made at Kololo Independence Grounds. NBS TV’s Douglas Lwanga even journeyed to Kenya to personally welcome Ali Campbell at Kenyatta Airport.
Sporting a radiant smile, Ali Campbell graced Entebbe Airport on Friday morning, accompanied by his band. They were warmly received by Talent Africa’s CEO, Aly Alibhai, and Next Media’s Joe Kigozi, marking their official entry into the country.
The build-up to the Ali Campbell show, aptly named “Nobody Can Stop Reggae,” has been palpable in recent weeks, stirring excitement across Uganda. The concert serves as a celebration of NBE Television’s 14th Anniversary, with proceeds earmarked for an environmentally noble cause: the planting of over 15 million trees throughout Uganda.
Joining Ali Campbell on stage at Kololo Independence Grounds on Saturday will be a constellation of local stars, including Bebe Cool, Navio, Vinka, Rema Namakula, and many others, promising an unforgettable musical extravaganza.
