In a bold move, Douglas Mayanja, half of the renowned Radio and Weasel duo, known as Weasel Manizo, has come forward accusing Swangz Avenue of stealing his late partner Mowzey Radio’s book and distributing his songs to their artist Azawi.
Weasel took to his social media platforms, posting cryptic messages that strongly suggest foul play, without explicitly naming names. However, online fans have been quick to point fingers at Azawi and Swangz Avenue as the suspected parties.
This controversy erupted following an AI-generated rendition of Azawi’s latest track, “Masavu,” which incorporated Mowzey Radio’s voice without authorization.
The AI collaboration has now raised questions about Azawi’s credibility, particularly among those less familiar with technology, who are directing their concerns towards Swangz Avenue regarding Radio’s intellectual property.
On his Facebook page, Weasel posted: “Akatabo, a Page from the Kings Book is missing and out there……” hinting at undisclosed discrepancies.
He further questioned: “Tujjeyo Demo? Oba Tubileke,” signaling a challenge to address the issue at hand.
